As the story moved on with the events following Will's disappearance, it has been slowly revealed that Eleven has a special telekinetic ability which is powerful enough to destroy things. She then uses her powers in saving her friends.

Finally El's power then makes her destroy the Demogorgon while searching for Will. However, the destruction leaves her weak and she was found to be gone. In the end, there is no way to know yet whether El has been destroyed or has just merely been transported to another dimension.

Now that the first season has been concluded, the cliffhanger remains as to what had happened to El during the destruction.

What Happens To Eleven

Meanwhile in a report, Matt Duffer stated that there was indeed something mysterious that happened to El. The monster was killed but then there was no way to know where El went after. He added that there will be a way that Hopper and El will eventually come across each other. They will both further look for answers on what has been going on in their place.

What happens to Will right after he was rescued from the other dimension? The strange reaction of his body from being trapped in the other dimension may eventually mean that there is a connection between the two worlds.

Ross Duffer, in a report noted that Will has been lost for a week and it clearly made a change on him. There will be changes towards his physical and emotional attributes. He further stated that Will might want to go back to the same place in the second season and that the effect of being lost in there for one week has not been a positive one for him.

There has no specific date as of yet of a second season. However, Matthew Modine has been hinting that there will be a Season 2.

This for now will be something that fans will have to wait and see.
