Hundreds of people crowded the Bethesda Cathedral in Singapore this past weekend for the finale of a tour that spanned three countries in Asia.

The Stream of Praise music ministry marked the conclusion of its 2005 Asia Tour on Saturday after making its call for youth to “shine” in Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Singapore.

After a month of traveling, Stream of Praise held 25 gatherings and served nearly 100,000 people – many of which responded to the Lord's calling and dedicated themselves to service.

“This year the vision for Stream of Praise was aimed towards the youth,” said Zhang Wenjuan, Executive Director of the Taiwan Stream of Praise Music Ministry Foundation. “Whether it is ‘Glow’ or ‘For You Alone,’ every song was God's calling to the youth for them to shine in this era.”

According to the ministry, the Stream of Praise 2005 Asia Tour was its tenth international tour.

“From Taiwan to Hong Kong then to Singapore, although each region has its own unique character God's calling is the same for everyone,” Zhang said after its final event in Singapore. “In particular, being able to witness the great amount of youth that are rising in the Singapore churches really encourage us. The four-day performance was truly beyond what we had imagined it would be."

The ministry reports that the final gathering, as was the case with the others, was packed with people and filled with worship and praise. Each gathering saw many attendants "deeply moved by the love of God through the worship" and come to accept Jesus Christ as their Savior.

Correction: Tuesday, August 23, 2005:

An article on Wednesday, Aug. 17, about the conclusion of the Stream of Praise 2005 Asia Tour accidentally reported the number of people who attended the one-month tour as being nearly 10,000. The correct figure was 100,000.
