The happy couple welcomed son Magnus Hamilton Miller, a representative for Nettles confirmed.

"We are so thankful for all the prayers and support and are excited to take some time together as a new family," the new parents said in a statement, according to People magazine.

Baby Magnus arrived just one month after Nettles and Miller celebrated their 1-year anniversary. The couple tied the knot after two years of dating during a ceremony in East Tennessee on Nov. 26 last year.

Nettles and her husband announced her pregnancy in June, and the singer later revealed her progress.

"I just feel good to rest," said the 38-year-old during her last trimester. "[But] things are starting to get a little uncomfortable, if you will."

The mentor on "Duets" and Grammy Award-winner also noted her aspirations for motherhood during her pregnancy.

"Becoming a mom is exciting, and terrifying," Nettles told Us Weekly. "At least I'll soon be off the road, decorating the nursery and nesting. Yahoo!"

On Twitter Friday, many fans of Sugarland congratulated Nettles on her bundle of joy.

"It's a boy for Jennifer Nettles," posted Kim.

Kayla added, "Congratulations @JenniferNettles!!! Can't wait to see pictures!"

"Awww," posted Taste of Country. "Congrats to @JenniferNettles of @SugarlandMusic who welcomed a baby boy yesterday."

Over the summer, the country music star finished filming "Duets" as well as a tour as lead vocalist with Sugarland just in time to welcome baby Magnus. Sugarland also includes Kristian Bush, and the band is best known for songs such as "Baby Girl" and "Fly Away," among others.

In 2010, Nettles hosted the first CMA Country Christmas broadcast, where she performed Christmas favorites including "Winter Wonderland." The singer has also performed during 2009's Obama Inaugural Celebration at the Lincoln Memorial.

Nettles will appear on the pre-recorded 2012 edition of CMA Country Christmas. The broadcast will air on Dec. 20.
