'Super Mario Odyssey' Latest News: Nintendo Releases New Trailer with Jazzy, Broadway-like Feel

With roughly two weeks to go before its much-anticipated launch, "Super Mario Odyssey" released another interesting teaser this week with a lot of musical touches to boot.

The trailer, titled "Jump Up, Super Star!" features live-action scenes with Mario, of course, as the centerpiece, as he runs through the streets of New Donk City. Much like the Broadway musicals in New York, the video is full of singing and dancing to the beat of a jazz tune.

Moreover, Nintendo also made sure that music buffs will get to enjoy the trailer's soundtrack anytime the like. The game developer made the song available for free via the "Super Mario Odyssey" website. Nintendo, however, left a disclaimer saying the song will only be available for download until January of 2018.

Furthermore, iOS users will not be able to download the music directly to their devices. Instead, they are advised to download the song from the website to their desktop computer before transferring it to their iOS devices.

Last month, Nintendo also announced in a Nintendo Direct broadcast that they are releasing a new Switch bundle themed after the game. Gamespot reported that the bundle will come with the main console, a copy of the game, red Joy-Cons, and a carrying case that comes in red and features a map design.

In addition to the Switch bundle, Nintendo also discussed the game's new Amiibo figures as its new feature, the Photo Mode. It allows players to capture screenshots of their actual gameplay by simply pressing "Down" on the d-pad. In addition, gamers will also have the flexibility to zoom in and out and take photos in virtually every angle.

For the creative type, the Photo Mode also features several filters to add more color and character on the photos.

The game also made noise back in August during the Gamescom event in Germany. It took home multiple awards including "Best of Gamescom," "Most Wanted Consumer Award," "Best Action Game," "Best Nintendo Switch Console," and "Best Family Game."

"Super Mario Odyssey" rolls out on Oct. 27, exclusively on the Nintendo Switch.
