'Super Mario Run' News: On Princess Daisy, the New Mode, and the Half Price Sale

While most of the gaming community is busy trying to figure out how they feel about "Super Mario Odyssey," Nintendo has decided to use the time to bring "Super Mario Run" back to life on Android and iOS devices. The gaming giant has announced that they will be releasing a major update for the game title, and it will feature a lot of experiences that could bring the hype back up for "Super Mario Run."

Polygon reports that Nintendo will be adding Daisy to the roster of playable characters. Although she is the seventh in the list, fans were thrilled to have an opportunity to experience what Luigi's possible love has to offer them in the gameplay. The update is going to add a new world in "Super Mario Run" named World Star which will have nine levels and is expected to have a plethora of new enemies and more gameplay.

In order to have Princess Daisy as part of the roster of playable characters, fans will have to go through the new mode called Remix 10, which will be released with the update. This mode will pick 10 random levels from all the sections of the game. Players will then have to clear each stage to rescue Princess Daisy. Once they do, they will be allowed to play as her in other game modes. Remix 10 will also reward players with rainbow medals, as well as give them the chance to collect items that they can use to decorate their Mushroom Kingdom.

Aside from the new world, characters, and gameplay, Nintendo's update will also allow users to listen to their own music while going through the campaign. It has a bonus of making the characters wear their own headphones ones gamers start up their music.

Nintendo's "Super Mario Run" for Android and iOS will cost 50 percent less from Sept. 29 to Oct. 12.
