Super Smash Bros 4 Character: Rosalina and Luma Moves Detailed in Game Trailer (Video)

Nintendo introduced a new character for Super Smash Bros 4 this month with Rosalina and her sidekick Luma.

The new brawlers employ a similar fighting style to the Ice Climbers who have appeared in previous Smash Bros titles. IGN.com recently took a more detailed look at the new team by watching her appearance in the latest trailer for the game. Super Smash Bros 4 director Masahiro Sakurai posted up a new Pic of the Day" yesterday on the Miiverse that featured Rosalina and her sidekick Luma taking on Mario in the Wii U version.

"Pic of the day. Rosalina and Luma can be right by each other or set farther apart," said Sakurai. "They're both controlled by the player, so a smash attack can be done from far off. Remote control all the way!" See it here.

Super Smash Bros 4 was rumored to be coming out in spring 2014, according to a Nintendo executive from Germany, but the company now claims that information was based on a misquote.

Nintendo's Bernd Fakesch held an interview with Neckar-chronik.de earlier this month regarding upcoming releases for the company. Fakesch was quoted as saying the game would be arriving.

"For next spring two more big license games are also announced for our TV console with Mario Kart 8 and Super Smash Bros," read the quote.

A Nintendo representative contacted VG247 to inform them of the misquote. We would like to clarify that the speculation about a Spring 2014 launch date for Super Smash Bros. on Wii U was the result of a misquotation in an interview," they said.
