Christian pop-rock band Superchick kicks off their fall 2008 “Rock What You Got” headlining tour Thursday accompanied by fellow Christian artists Stellar Kart, Article One and Starlit Platoon.
The nearly 30-city tour, which runs through mid-November, is named after Superchick’s fifth studio release and begins with Thursday’s concert at Paramount Baptist Church in Amarillo, Texas.
Other stops include major cities such as Dallas, Minneapolis, and Atlanta.
“It will be the biggest tour the world has ever seen,” raved Superchick’s Matt Dally in an announcement. “Like Tony the Tiger said, it’s going to be grrrreat!”
“Given the dynamic of our new set list in addition to a talented, high-energy artist line-up, the ‘Rock What You Got’ tour is going to be among the most talked about tickets this fall,” added Superchick lead vocalist Tricia Brock.
With five projects to date, Superchick has sold upwards of 700,000 albums, and the group’s music has been heard in more than 70 different films and television shows.

Superchick’s latest album, released under Inpop Records, debuted at No. 65 on the Billboard Top 200 album chart and resulted in Superchick’s highest ever first week sales numbers. Its current single “Hold” is climbing up the CHR charts at No. 5 this week, according to Radio & Records.
“We have received such a positive response from fans who love the new record, and we can’t wait to perform for them live,” said Brock, whose bandmates are sister Melissa Brock (vocals, guitar), Matt Dally (bass, vocals), Dave Ghazarian (lead guitar, vocals), Brandon Estelle (drums, vocals), and Max Hsu (keyboards/DJ).
Formerly known as Superchic[k], the Chicago-based band says the new songs on their latest album, released late June, were written against a backdrop of personal hardship. In the past few years, band members faced painful relationship splits and cancer touched four of their families.
Still, while the last album sought to empathize with listener pain, the band says Rock What You Got is the battle cry to charge forward.
“This album is about empowerment and hope,” stated Dally. “Don’t be afraid to cross the lines that people put up to limit you when you know you are better than that.”
“This album calls on people to wake up and find their destiny,” added Hsu, who was also a producer of the album.
Their latest album was released more than three years after their fourth, Beauty From Pain,which was released again a year later, in 2006, as Beauty From Pain 1.1 – Superchick's mainstream debut album with Columbia Records.
