'Super girl' TV Series Cast News: 'Sons of Anarchy' Alum Joins CBS Show as Reactron

It was reported in the past weeks that Melissa Benoist's superheroine character will be facing her cousin's old time enemy in the upcoming CBS show "Supergirl."

According to reports, Ben Krull a.k.a. Reactron will pay Kara Zor-El a visit in National City in hopes to hurt his rival, the Man of Steel. The latest casting updates from Entertainment Weekly now indicates that the show has tapped Chris Browning to play the villain role.

As stated by the media outlet, the "Sons of Anarchy" will debut his character in the show's third episode, although he is more than likely to have a recurring role in the series. His casting follows after the report of "Nurse Jackie" alum Peter Facinelli joining the DC TV show as Maxwell Lord.

Described by the publication as character that is "sometimes a villain, sometimes a hero," Maxwell is overall a business man involved with the Justice League. In the CBS show, he is a green tech billionaire who often goes toe to toe with Cat Grant (Calista Flockhart).

Brought by Warner Bros. TV and Berlanti Productions, "Supergirl" follows the action and drama-filled adventures of the DC Comics character "Kara Zor-El, Superman's (Kal-El) cousin who, after 12 years of keeping her powers a secret on Earth, decides to finally embrace her superhuman abilities and be the hero she was always meant to be," the description reads.

"12-year-old Kara escaped the doomed planet Krypton with her parents' help at the same time as the infant Kal-El. Protected and raised on Earth by her foster family, the Danvers, Kara grew up in the shadow of her foster sister, Alex (Chyler Leigh), and learned to conceal the phenomenal powers she shares with her famous cousin in order to keep her identity a secret," it continued.

The show is set to premiere on Monday, Oct. 26, on CBS.
