'Supergirl' season 2 episode 14 spoilers: Supergirl runs after thieves; Mr. Mxyzptlk gets on Mon-El's nerves

The new promo clip for "Supergirl" season 2 episode 13 shows Supergirl (Melissa Benoist) running after some thieves. She seems to manage everything just fine until her unwanted suitor turns up and makes the situation worse.

Titled "Mr. and Mrs. Mxyzptlk," the new episode follows Supergirl as she deals with her missions and an unwanted suitor at the same time. The promo clip for the episode shows the Woman of Steel going after thieves who attempt to pull out their guns and fire upon the female vigilante.

While she seems resilient enough to resist the bullets, the situation suddenly takes a turn for the worse when Mr. Mxyzptlk (Peter Gadiot) appears, turns their guns on them and cocks back their triggers.

Meanwhile, the episode also follows Mr. Mxyzptlk as he goes through Mon-El (Chris Wood) to win Kara's heart. That does not mean, however, that he considers him a rival.

In his interview with TV Line, Gadiot said that his character's love for Kara is not a joke and that he only sees Mon-El as a fly that he needs to swat away. "Mon-El is just a pest who's getting in the way of him being with Kara," he said.

However, Wood revealed in a separate interview with TV Line that over the course of the episode, Mr. Mxyzptlk finds Mon-El more and more bothersome. Everything turns upside down when Mon-El starts to hate the annoying prankster for ruining the moment when he is finally able to connect with Kara. "And he hates even more that this guy wants Kara to marry him and is trying to manipulate the situation into making her almost feel like he has no choice," said Wood.

Find out how Kara deals with the bad guys on the next episode of "Supergirl" season 2 which airs on Monday, Feb. 20, at 8 p.m. EST on The CW.
