'Supernatural' News, Cast, Spoilers: The Darkness Takes on More Souls in 'Thin Lizzie'

Season 11 of "Supernatural" has certainly got fans interested as it not only channels themes and vibes from the beginning seasons and history of the boys but it is also able to incoporate the idea of a new big bad into the scene. Fans are already aware that the boys are going up against a force unlike they have ever faced before, and with only few information available about the Darkness, it seems that Dean and Sam will finally see the capability of this ancient force in the latest episode, "Thin Lizzie."

According to the recap by TV Fanatic, the fifth episode of the season started off with what seemed like a ghost hunt waiting to happen. The boys checked into a bed-and-breakfast in Fall River, Massachusetts. The place also happens to be the previous home of Lizzie Borden, who was known for being an accused axe murderer. With the creepiness of the place pushing the idea of ghost haunting, the Winchester boys have yet again proven their skills by discovering that the signs of a lurking spirit actually came from sound systems, timed lightings, and an EMF meter triggering machine.

However, as the episode continued on, the real story was actually more on the Darkness. Despite the mystery of the bed-and-breakfast finally being solved, the murders around didn't end. Apparently, the Darkness had been on a soul-eating spree that left a lot of the people soulless. The episode was able to showcase that the effect of having no soul can vary from one person to another, as well as the extent of the Darkness' capabilities. With one power being able to control people into worship, it definitely seems that this could prove to be a real challenge later on. The Darkness is definitely on Dean's trail, and Dean, alongside Sam, is definitely getting the pieces they need to build the puzzle on the mysterious entity.
