'Supernatural' Season 10 News, Spoilers: Sam and Dean Make Another Attempt to Clear the Mark of Cain

Last episode of the hit supernatural TV drama series "Supernatural" finds the Winchester brothers, Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles) getting their hands on the Book the Damned, which they assumed could relieve them (especially Dean) from the Mark of Cain.

Unfortunately, the book, discovered by Charlie (Felicia Day), contained dark magic which they believe can do more harm than the good to the problem. They decided to get rid of the book.

In the upcoming episode titled "The Werther Project," the demon hunters will make another attempt at breaking the curse.

A synopsis posted on The Futon Critic indicated that Sam learns about Magnus, a former Men of Letters, once created a magical box which could help his brother and sets out to find it.

However, the younger Winchester wasn't prepared for the deadly alarm system that Magnus has set up on the box. The summary said that he puts his and Dean's life in peril when he opened the box.

Meanwhile, a report from IBTimes cited a sneak peek video for this week's segment showing Sam approaching Rowena (Ruth Connell) perhaps to also seek help about the Mark of Cain.

Seeing it as an opportunity to get back at his son -- the King of Hell -- Rowena appears to agree to what Sam proposes, which includes killing Crowley.

On the other hand, an old friend of Dean, whom he met during his time in the purgatory, will pay a visit. Benny (Ty Olsson) was last seen in Season 8. The site however noted that it isn't clear if the footage pertains to the present time or it could only be Dean's dream.

"Supernatural" Season 10 airs Wednesday at 9 p.m. on The CW.
