'Supernatural' Season 11 News, Update: Executive Producer Jeremy Carver Teases Quest That Will Unite the Brothers

The cast of The CW's hit supernatural TV drama series "Supernatural" appeared at the San Diego Comic-Con to dish out a handful of big details for Season 11.

One of which is mentioned by the show runner, Jeremy Carver, who said that a new circumstance will unite the Winchesters.

"We had a lot of intensely personal character stories. This year, we have more of an epic feel with a Big Bad, and a quest for the brothers to unite on," the showrunner told TVLine.

"I think it's a special Big Bad we have this year. It's a pre-biblical story that's never been told. I think it's going to be a fun, epic feel. And most importantly, I think the brothers are going to be united in their need to take this thing down" he added.

Member of the cast Jensen Ackles chimed in to voice out his enthusiasm for Season 11.

"Getting rid of the Mark of Cain was [just the first step] … now it's figuring out how we have to deal with the decisions we've made. What I like about where we're going is the brothers are united, similar to the way we were in season one when we were looking for dad," the actor, who plays Dean, explained.

"We're back to normal, so to speak, and we have a common target. I'm excited about that, I'm excited to get back to our original format," he added.

Jared Padalecki, who plays the younger Winchester, echoed the sentiment saying that he's "excited to see the boys working together again."

Carver, meanwhile, hinted that a few fan-favorite characters will be coming back for the next season. When asked further for details, he only revealed that "they're coming back in surprising ways."
