For the uninitaited, the Men of Letters is a British organization that tailed Sam and Dean's life. However, this time, the need to intervene is significant when the events have gotten out of hand.

Showrunner Andrew Dabb shared in a report that Dean will do everything he could to find Sam. Eventually when they meet again, they will have different views in dealing with the Men of Letters. He explained that the brothers' fight with the British Men of letters will progress to a personal level. They will not agree on how to deal with the organization right after Sam has been abducted by them.

Reports indicate that Sam will side with the organization. It seems that Sam will finally understand where these men are coming from. Dean on the other hand, is not happy about the realization of Sam siding with them.

Aside from dealing with the British Men of Letters in the upcoming season, they also will have to deal with the surprising return of their mother, Mary (Samantha Smith) who has been gone for a long time. She was gone when the boys were still young and her return is presumed to either bring good things or bad tidings for the brothers.

A Spin-Off Series In The Works

Other reports indicate that Supernatural will have a spin-off series. In fact, CW President, Mark Pedowitz shared that the network is prioritizing the spin-off series. He added that they are still looking for the perfect storyline for the show. There are speculations that the storyline will focus on Castiel (Misha Collins). Others also speculate that the show will focus on the villains such as Lucifer (Rick Springfield) or Amara (Emily Swallow).

Season 12 will start off with the brothers separated. As the series progresses, Dean will meet up with his mother Mary and will go on hunting to find Sam and rescue him from the men of Letters. "Supernatural" Season 12 is set to air on October 13, 2016.
