'Supernatural' Season 9 Spoilers: Sam and Dean's Bond is 'Deeper Than Either Believe'

"Supernatural" season nine returns to the CW with a brand new episode on April 22 entitled "Alex Annie Alexis Ann."

Throughout the season, "Supernatural" fans have watched brothers Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean Winchester (Jensen Ackles) grow further and further apart as tensions grew between them. While neither brother is willing to budge, "Supernatural" producer Jeremy Carver revealed that their bond is "even deeper than either of them would actually believe," according to TV Line.

"The boys, for nine years, have been pretty much inseparable in that it's always about each other," Carver explained earlier this year. "This [season], we've started to explore ... I would say the idea of Sam saying, 'Dean, you're afraid of being alone.' We're really putting them in more instances of not just being alone, but with other people in their world."

Carver went on to offer hints toward what the rest of season nine has in store for Dean and Sam.

"The brothers can say things that cut very deep, but at the end of the day, you drill down far enough through the scar tissue, you've got two guys who do want to reach out to each other," the producer told TV Line. "The bond of their relationship is even deeper than either of them would actually believe."

"Supernatural" airs on the CW Tuesdays at 9 p.m. EST. The synopsis for this week's "Alex Annie Alexis Ann" is as follows: "Sheriff Mills tries to save a girl from a family of vampires who are using her as bait to lure in humans they can feed on."

Remaining episodes of "Supernatural" season nine include April 29's "Bloodlines," May 6's "King of the Damned" and "Stairway to Heaven" airing May 13. During "Bloodlines," a new spin-off seris with the same title will be introduced. The episode will feature "Bloodlines" lead character Ennis Roth meeting Sam and Dean during a crucual point of his life, according to TV Guide. While the Winchester brothers try to find the paranormal force in Chicago, they pass their justice-seeking abilities on to Ennis, who is described as a "wanna-be cop."
