Surface Pro 4 Rumors: New Surface Pro Reiteration to Bear Similar Attributes to Surface Pro 3
There have been rumors circulating around the web indicating that Microsoft was planning to cut off their well-loved line of PC hybrids, the Surface Pro. In a recent post on the official Surface Blog, Brian Hall, general manager for the Surface line, said otherwise.
"We are pleased to share that the following Surface Pro 3 accessories are designed with our product roadmap in mind and will be compatible with the next generation of the 'Pro' line of Surface," he wrote.
This further suggests the already successful Surface Pro 3 will be getting a new successor -- possibly the purported Surface Pro 4 -- which will be compatible with the new accessories that are slated to come out for the Pro 3.
Among the mentioned accessories are the Surface Pro 3 Type Covers, Docking Station accessory, and the power and Ethernet adapters.
With this in mind, it is safe to assume that the upcoming Pro 4 will bear similar physical dimensions of the previous edition in order for it to don the said accessories.
A report from Information Week even went to say that the future Surface Pro models will share the Pro 3's 12-inch display size.
"This means businesses can invest in Surface Pro products without worrying about support issues down the road," the site went on to say.
As with its release date, both The Fuse Joplin and Winbeta stated that Surface Pro 4 will likely to arrive sometime in 2015. This could also mean that it will run on the Windows 10 OS.
