Last September, people enjoying a sunny day in the Five Points South section of Birmingham, Ala. were treated to a flash mob moment of worship. In front of the iconic fountain that serves as the hub of the area, Grammy-winning gospel artist Hezekiah Walker and a throng of dancers and singers performed Walker's new song, "Every Praise."
In the video below, passersby stop and take in the scene, clapping and capturing the moment on their phones for posterity's sake. They really didn't have to because the flash mob was being recorded as the music video for the song.
"Every Praise" was released on Walker's 2013 album "Azusa The Next Generation" and became a runaway hit, staying at #1 on the Billboard gospel chart for months. Although it's lost the top spot, it hasn't fallen far, perched at #2 this week. This fun, inspiring music video sure doesn't hurt its staying power.
