Publisher and Creator Speak Up

Elliot Grassiano, the vice president of Microids, has stated that the delay was actually due to the immense reception of the game's fans. As the unprecedented excitement for "Syberia 3" was not anticipated by the developers and publishers, changes and improvements to the game needed to be made.

Grassiano said that the developers are working on bringing even more depth to the newest adventures of Kate Walker. They are also said to be expanding the game universe, with a vaster adventure setting for the main game protagonist.

"Syberia" creator Benoit Sokal then released his own statement, stating his dismay regarding the game delay. He himself was disappointed as they wanted to release "Syberia 3" to the market as soon as the storyline has been written. However, he goes on to say that he understands the reasoning behind the delay, saying that it was necessary to deliver the best possible gaming experience to the players.
