'Taken 4' Rumors, Update: Liam Neeson Talks About the Possibility of a Fourth Sequel

Fresh from the success of his recently-opened action-thriller film "Taken 3" (stylized as TAK3N), lead star Liam Neeson hinted that it is possible for a fourth sequel to follow in the future.

"There's always … I think if audiences go and see it and they like these characters, I mean, I'd love to do something with Forest again, and if it's in a 'Taken' 4 scenario … great," Neeson told Fox News.

Screen Rant meanwhile speculated that both franchise co-writers Luc Besson and Robert Mark Kamen may be "inclined to tap out" after the third installment, however.

Nonetheless, with Taken 3's astounding performance in the box office -- The Hollywood Reporter said it has already earned $40.4 million over the weekend -- another installment couldn't hurt.

"There are certainly moviegoers who would enjoy it if the franchise continued to go the way of the James Bond series and have its protagonist remain constant, even as the world around him (as reflected through the life of his daughter) continues to change," ScreenRant said.

"Taken 3" saw Liam Neeson's ex-covert operative Bryan Mills confronted with the murder of his ex-wife Lenore (Famke Janssen). Enraged with the events, Mills' situation worsens when he was framed up for the crime.

Bent to achieve justice for the passing of Lenore, the skilled ex-operative has to constantly evade the CIA, FBI, and the police while finding out who's behind the murder and at the same time protect his daughter, Kim (Maggie Grace) from the greater danger.
