Taylor Hanson and Wife on Unique Baby Name: Wilhemina Jane

Taylor Hanson and his wife, Natalie, welcomed their fifth child, baby girl Wilhemina Jane Hanson, Tuesday, Oct. 2. For the couple, who previously stated that they always wanted a big family, her birth was a joyous occasion.

"Natalie and I are thrilled to announce the arrival of our newest family member, Wilhemina Jane Hanson," the singer, who has been married since 2002, told People magazine. "She arrived on Tuesday, Oct. 2, and was welcome by more love than could fit in the room."

The pair turned to Natalie's research and Hanson's creativity to find their fifth child's unique name. Wilhemina is certainly a name that stands out, but when compared to Jordan Ezra, 10, Penelope Anne, 7, River Samuel, 6, and Viggo Moriah, 3-and-a-half, maybe it's not so unusual.

"Thinking back on all the children's names has helped to give me a fresh perspective in choosing the name for the baby GIRL we are expecting in the fall," Natalie Hanson wrote on her Nameberry.com blog earlier this year. "It has helped to remind me how the right name seems to come at the right time, and how, no matter how 'perfect' the choice, it will only be a part of all this little person will become."

Taylor Hanson, 29, and Natalie, 18, have been anticipating their fifth child's birth for some time, as they are already "outnumbered" by their children already. Having more, then, is "not such a big deal," Hanson admitted to Us magazine previously.

"Natalie and I are so anxious to meet our fifth mini-Hanson, as are the four siblings at home who are counting the days to the arrival," the "MMMBop" singer said in April.

Being family men must run in the blood, as all of the Hanson brothers have children; youngest brother Zac Hanson has two children, while the eldest, Isaac, also has two. The brothers just finished a world tour for their latest album Shout It Out, and are working towards another album for 2013.
