Taylor Momsen Naked Spoken Word Video Shocks Fans

Actress Taylor Momsen made waves after baring all in a new spoken word video for her band, The Pretty Reckless, and reading a verse from her song "Under the Water."

Best known for her role as Jenny Humphrey on CW's hit series "Gossip Girl," Momsen's latest video appearance is a far cry from the clean-cut character she portrays on the show.

The 19-year-old singer and actress is featured in the video titled "The Words" without any clothing. During the clip, close-ups of Momsen's face reveal heavy, dark makeup. The camera later pans back and Momsen appears entirely nude. Although much of her body is shadowed and blurred, the video has surprised many online viewers.

Shortly after Momsen shared the YouTube video with over 600,000 of her Twitter followers, users sounded off online.

"Makes me a bit nauseous," wrote one YouTube viewer.

One viewer pointed out Momsen's childhood role as Cindy Lou in the film adaptation of Dr. Seuss' "How the Grinch Stole Christmas."

Silver Summer posted, "Its hard to believe that this is the same sweet little girl who appeared on the movie 'Grinch' singing about Christmas."

Tim Mattia directed the one-minute, 15-second artistic video, which was presented by Amp Rock TV. In it, Momsen can be heard reading lyrics taken from "Under the Water," the third track of The Pretty Reckless' album Hit Me Like A Man.

"Lay my head under the water, lay my head under the sea. Excuse me sit, I am your daughter, take me back and see," read Momsen.

In her band The Pretty Reckless, Momsen co-writes songs with guitarist Ben Phillips and serves as lead vocalist.

The actress once stated that she prefers singing as opposed to acting because "music is more personal because you're writing it and you're involved in every step of it," according to Digital Spy.

Momsen's acting credits include films "Hansel and Gretel," "Saving Shiloh," "Underdog," and "Paranoid Park."
