Taylor Swift and Conor Kennedy have ended their relationship just three months after they reportedly began dating, it has been confirmed.

Swift, 22, was first seen spending time with the 18-year-old son of Robert F. Kennedy Jr. at the Kennedy family compound in Hyannis Port, Mass. during the month of July. Weeks later, the couple attended their first wedding together prompting speculation that they were getting serious, although they have since parted ways.

"They quietly parted ways a while ago. It was just a distance thing. No hard feelings. They're fine," a source reportedly told Us magazine.

"It's been over a month since they've even seen each other. With her promotion for Red, she has no time off until the end of the year," the source explained.

In August, Swift purchased a $4.9 million vacation a home in Hyannis Port, Mass. located across the street from the Kennedy compound, reportedly in an attempt to be closer to Kennedy. The pop singer became a source of support for the grieving teen, whose mother Mary committed suicide in May.

"It's in a beautiful location and right across the street from Conor and the Kennedys," a realtor told People.com. "It's a beautiful home. She got a nice home, paid fair price. The house was on the market for two to four years."

The following month, Kennedy was noticeably absent from 2012 MTV Video Music Awards show, which Swift attended alone. His absence sparked rumors of alleged relationship woe,s although a source insisted he was simply unable to go due to study obligations.

"He will now not be able to attend the VMAs. He is very disappointed because he was amped to go, but he has certain school commitments to take care of," a source told Hollywoodlife.com.

"He asked for permission to leave school but they didn't give him the time off, especially since it wasn't a family emergency," the source added.

Swift, who is renowned for writing songs about her breakups, has been romantically linked to various celebrities including John Mayer, Jake Gyllenhaal and Taylor Lautner.
