The popular country singer and the boy band star had been reported as growing closer after being seen together through the Christmas holiday period. However, now according to multiple reports, it appears as though their relationship has come to an abrupt end.
A source has told the Daily Mail: "They were on holiday and had an almighty row."
The source also explained how the couple had been partying on the British Virgin Islands together, but split just after New Year's.
The former couple actually spend Christmas Day apart, but they spent New Year's together after meeting up for an exotic holiday.
However, their romance seems to have been unable to get beyond their first big fight, and a dispute saw Swift cut her holiday short, leaving alone without Styles just three days after arriving.
Styles was left behind, but was invited by Virgin Atlantic boss Richard Branson to the nearby Necker Island to party. The 18 year old accepted the offer and has been seen in numerous photos enjoying himself with the Virgin boss and some friends.
According to a source to the Business Insider: "Richard Branson heard Harry was staying nearby so invited him to come check out Necker. So when Taylor left for the states, Harry went to Branson's island for the day to let off some steam."
Swift and Styles have had a whirlwind romance, and often looked close and happy, seeing each other regularly since first getting together in November. They had been seen on dates to New York's Central Park Zoo, skiing in Utah, as well as their Virgin Islands escapade.
According to Life & Style, and source has claimed, "They are both really busy and never in one place for long. Harry's really upset about the split and is really sensitive about it. Loads of his friends told him to be careful and that it was never going to last, and he feels a little foolish now that it's fallen apart so quickly."
