Taylor Swift's Net Worth: 'Blank Space' Singer The Youngest Among America's Richest Self-Made Women

Taylor Swift just recently added a couple of items on her personal lists. While the first list, which would now include the name of some Scottish DJ and songwriter, is something her fans wouldn't want to get any longer, the other one is something the Swifties could take delight in.

The pop superstar has just added another feather in her cap when she was named as one of the richest self-made women in America by Forbes.

Now, this distinction accounts for a couple of achievements for the ladies on the list. One for having been able to amass so much wealth that most people can only dream of, and another for accomplishing this remarkable feat on their own doing without the need for some windfall of an heirloom.

And as if it's not enough of an accolade for her, Taylor Swift has one-upped each one on the list by making the cut as the youngest one at age 26.

Swift's net worth currently stands at a quarter of a billion dollars. This was enough to earn her the no. 60 spot on the list that also includes some of the most powerful and revered women on the planet.

The singer-songwriter has been raking in a lot of money for the past years with one platinum album after another. According to Forbes, each one of this widely-received albums that has been selling like hotcakes is bringing in around $40 million in gross sales.

However, Swift's ultimate cash cow thus far has been her best-selling album "1989." In 2014, the album bested every other one in the market in terms of sales with 3.7 million units sold. Furthermore, her 1989 Tour has accumulated around $250 million in gross sales last year.

Meanwhile, also earning the distinction as America's richest self-made women includes media mogul Oprah Winfrey ($3.1 billion), fashion icon Diane von Furstenberg ($340 million) and other women from the music industry, such as Madonna ($560 million), Barbara Streisand ($370 million) and Beyonce Knowles ($265 million).

None of them, however, has made more millions than Diane Hendricks, who tops the list with her net worth of $4.9 billion. The American businesswoman owns ABC Supply, a Wisconsin-based roofing supply distributor. Hendricks also made the cut last year when she came in second, but rose to the top spot this time around by adding $1.2 billion more to her last year's net worth.
