TBN to Air New Episodes of 'The Great Physician's Rx for Health and Wellness'

“The Great Physician's Rx for Health and Wellness,” last year’s groundbreaking Christian health program, will begin a second season and will have eight new episodes aired on the Trinity Broadcast Network (TBN).

The second season will focus on women’s health issues and is inspired by the new book written by the show’s creator, Jordan Rubin, founder of the Biblical Health Institute. The book, entitled "The Great Physician's Rx for Women's Health," was co-authored by his wife, Nicki Rubin.

Because of the success of the first season, the program will now be broadcasted twice a week on Mondays and Tuesdays. The popularity of the series comes largely from Rubin’s health plan that stems from the Bible, allowing many people to experience dramatic health transformations.

In a statement, Rubin commented on the next season. "These keys are not just for anyone who is sick or suffering from a disease, but for anyone desiring to live an abundant life of health and wellness,” he stated.

“We're going to show women how they can dramatically improve their health and change their lives forever in just seven weeks."

The first season of the program covered such topics as cancer, diabetes, colds and flu and irritable bowel syndrome. The second batch of episodes will deal with women's top health concerns such as weight loss, detox and cleansing, hormones, PMS, menopause, digestive disorders, bone health and cancer.

More specifically, some of the advice given by Rubin, also known as the “Health Evangelist,” include: eat to live, avoid deadly emotions, reduce toxins in your environment, and live a life of prayer and purpose.

The series will begin showing on Mondays at 11:30 a.m. EST and Tuesdays at 7:30 p.m. EST. It is estimated to reach around 30 million people in 15 countries.
