Teen Mania Unveils The Battle Plan

Ron Luce, President and Founder of Teen Mania Ministries, unveiled the strategic 18-month plan, which seeks to help youth groups double in size every year while discipling their teens for the long-term spiritual growth.

A national teen ministry initiative called "The Battle Cry" unveiled a plan on Saturday to take back America’s teens.

After months of prayer, planning, and research, pastors and youth workers rallied at the first Battle Cry Leadership Summit in California in response to the desperate cries for help from the teen generation.

Nine hundred and fifty leaders prayed and worshipped at the East Bay Fellowship of Danville, Calif., for the day-long conference and to receive instructions on reclaiming the youth. Jack Hayford of Foursquare Church International, Greg Laurie of Calvary Chapel, and David Lawson of Precept Ministries all shared powerful messages that inspired and equipped attendees.

Leaders are committed to join over 20,000 leaders to fight for the lives and futures of the next generation of teens.

Ron Luce, President and Founder of Teen Mania Ministries, unveiled the strategic 18-month plan, which seeks to help youth groups double in size every year while discipling their teens for the long-term spiritual growth. Luce recently authored Battle Cry for a Generation, The Fight to Save America’s Youth.

"Young people are crying out for direction; it’s time to give it to them! Alarm and outrage are not enough," stated Teen Mania in a news release. "We must take action and fight to see American teenagers become 'one generation under God.' "

Teen Mania partnered with Prison Fellowship Ministry to create curriculum, Precept Ministries to create Bible study materials, and Joyce Meyer Ministry to write articles and raise awareness. Others involved include the Great Commandment Network and Student Leadership University. Churches and individuals will have access to books, CDs, and partner training materials.

"Together, we will see broken teens transformed into warriors for God and effective ministers of the gospel," stated Teen Mania.

There are three other training sessions to inform youth ministers and other leaders about the plan. Battle Cry Leadership Summits will be held at World Outreach in Detroit on Nov. 12, Hope Christian Church in Washington, D.C., on Nov. 19, and Holiday Inn Philadelphia Stadium in Philadelphia on Nov. 19.
