'Teen Mom 2' Reunion Rumors: What Led to Jenelle Evans' Emotional Walkout?
The reunion of "Teen Mom 2" was quite a roller coaster ride, as expected by many. Many would agree that one of the main highlights of the episode was the dramatic exit of Jenelle, not once but twice, when things got too much for her.
According to US Weekly, the special was filmed months before, and just after the second season of "Teen Mom" had finished. During that time, Evans and her now ex-boyfriend and Kaiser's father, Nathan, were trying to work it out, despite having a very rocky on-off relationship all throughout the season. Jenelle became emotional right away, tearing up as she opened up how painful it was for her to watch Nathan try to make it work with someone else, while she was still hoping for more with him. She goes, "I just never thought he would just leave me and move on. And it hurts. When he completely cut me off and all I was trying to do was get him back for so long. And nothing I did was working so I just gave up, and, finally, when I gave up, he came back to me and he wanted to be back with me." She continued on sharing about her panic attacks and how this had affected her negatively.
During this time, Nathan took the time to defend himself, especially with the two charges of domestic abuse he faced before, claiming, "I really do try hard to be a rock. I don't think [there was physical abuse]. I just got my ring back." After trying to put himself in a good light, he went on to state to Jenelle, "You play the victim card." Jenelle had enough and made an impromptu exit. It then showed her explaining to the producers that Nathan had been like this for days. Nathan, on the other hand, explained to Dr. Drew that Jenelle's stories "threw him under the bus" and that there are "two sides to every story."

Jenelle later returned to the set, but the peace did not last long as Jenelle's mother, Barbara, joined the set. She started to point out how neglectful Jenelle has been as a mother. Barbara said, "If my mother ever took a child off of me, I would have done everything in my power to get that kid back," in which Jenelle immediately responded that she did, and Barbara retaliated that her actions came "six years later." The tense confrontation continued on and proved too much for Jenelle as she walked out of the situation once again later on.
Part 2 of the reunion special will premiere on 9/8c, Wednesday, Oct. 7.
