'Teen Mom' Farrah Abraham News: Co-Stars Unhappy as Star Set to Return

Farrah Abraham is returning to "Teen Mom," the MTV reality show that made her famous. Abraham talked about her decision to rejoin Catelynn Lowell, Amber Portwood, and Maci Bookout for "Teen Mom OG." OG stands for "original girls."

"There's going to be lots of excitement from the Teen Mom fans and MTV's fan base as well, so I'm excited to be back!" Abraham told Us Weekly.

MTV producers reportedly reached out to the 23-year old after seeing footage featuring the three cast members who had been asked back.

"Teen Mom" creator Lauren Dolgen told Us Weekly, "We had shot a couple of storylines and there is something about having that fourth story to counterbalance—there's just a magic to four stories and four different points of view."

"I think they were more or less saying that there was more to my story that they really felt was missing from the Teen Mom show, and I totally agree with them. I understand their point of view, and it was a funny situation to be in," Abraham added.

Dolgen said that Abraham was fine with the initial cold-shoulder treatment that she got from the other girls and that she was "very open" about returning. However, Lowell, Portwood, and Bookout were not very receptive to the change.

"[They] know she's coming back," said Dolgen. "It did create a little bit of controversy that will play out in the series."

Previously, Abraham got into a fight with Lowell on the reunion show of "Couples Therapy." When asked if they made up, Abraham said, "I mean from what I know, from what they've led me to believe. So I wish [Catelynn and Tyler] all the best with their new child and all those type of things."

"Teen Mom OG" premieres this spring on MTV.
