Teen Program to Air on Late Night WB

MINNEAPOLIS - For the first time ever, the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association (BGEA) will broadcast a nationally-syndicated youth special, "Inside Out," on Dec. 27, featuring high energy contemporary Christian musicians and a message from Billy Graham, which will appeal to teen audiences who are looking on the inside to escape outside pressures.

"Inside Out" features candid interviews with teenagers and dynamic musical performances by dcTalk, Kirk Franklin and Jars of Clay. Throughout the telecast, Mr. Graham offers heartfelt encouragement to teens that he understands the pressures they face on the outside, but there is hope on the inside through a relationship with Jesus Christ.

The program is based on the youth night emphasis of Billy Graham's Metroplex Mission held at Texas Stadium last October. More than 80,000 young people were in attendance, setting a new stadium record that evening. Included in the line-up are interviews with sports celebrities Tony Alvarez, a professional stunt cyclist, and bantam-weight boxing champion Paulie Ayala.

The 30-minute special is scheduled to air in most markets on the WB network' s "late night" teen-oriented line-up, Saturday, Dec. 27, 2002. Specific times are listed on the Billy Graham youth Web site, www.passageway.org. A free CD is available for those that log onto the site, where they will be introduced to discussions on tough issues along with a variety of resources.

More than 1,190,000 young people have attended a Billy Graham Mission youth night since June of 1994, of which over 92,000 have made commitments to Christ. "Inside Out" now offers that same experience to multiple millions of individuals at once. "This is an incredible opportunity to impact the lives of students who need Christ," said Gary Cobb, BGEA Director of Counseling and Follow-Up.
