'Teen Wolf' Season 5 Episode 14: Malia's Mission For Revenge Takes A Backseat; Are Stiles And Lydia Finally Getting Together?

The American supernatural television series "Teen Wolf" is on its fifth season and Scott McCall (Tyler Posey) and his pack of friends continue to fight against forces that are out to tear them apart. In episode 13, Scott and Stiles (Dylan O'Brien) were on a rescue mission to save Kira (Arden Cho) and Noshiko (Tamlyn Tomita) from a group of Skinwalkers who wanted to turn Kira into a Skinwalker after she failed her test.

In episode 14, according to a report in Enstarz, another member of the pack, Malia, played by Shelley Hennig, was out for revenge against the Desert Wolf, who as it turned out was the one who caused the car accident that killed her mother and sister. Her plans for revenge however needed to take a backseat as she has a more important mission, which is to rescue Dr. Alan Deaton (Seth Gilliam) who was taken hostage by the Desert Wolf in a previous episode of the season.

The episode titled "The Sword and the Spirit" featured this rescue mission where Malia is joined by a new ally. The report also emphasized that this was a detour but eventually, Malia will still continue her quest to exact her revenge. Hennig, the actress who plays Malia, said that nothing is going to stop her character from doing this and killing the Desert Wolf.

According to another report in Enstarz, Stiles is planning his own rescue mission and this time it will involve Lydia, who is locked up in the asylum Eichen House. At one point, Stiles visited Lydia and realized that he really needs to get her out of there for her own safety. Before he leaves though, he manages to pocket an employee's ID card.

As promised by series creator Jeff Davis during the New York Comic Con, Stiles' rescue of Lydia is "definitely going to be a pretty epic moment." He also guaranteed that it will "satisfy certain fans" but "maybe piss off many others."
