'Teen Wolf' Season 5 Spoilers: Major Character May Exit Series

A major "Teen Wolf" character is set to exit the series during season 5, the show's executive producer revealed.

In a statement issued during the New York Comic-Con (NYCC) panel event, "Teen Wolf" executive producer Jeff Davis confessed that they were not expecting the show to be renewed for another season. He said there is a possibility that Dylan O'Brien, who plays the character Stiles, will leave "Teen Wolf" in season 5, according to rumors

Davis explained that they thought "Teen Wolf" would only last until season 5. However, MTV renewed the series for its sixth season and ordered 20 episodes, the report details.

Although the news might be a sad one for Stiles, they will still be able to witness their favorite character rescue his love interest Lydis (Holland Roden) from the Eichen House. Davis teased that episodes 16 and 17 will have epic scenes worth looking forward to, the report relays.

Beacon Hills High School will be spookier during the fifth season of "Teen Wolf." In NYCC, Dylan Sprayberry revealed that his character Liam will find out that his girlfriend Hayden, who is played by Victoria Moroles, is alive after all. But Hayden will be following the commands of Theo (Christian Cody).

Previously, Liam witnessed Hayden die from poisoning. In the second part of the season, Liam will try to rise from the ashes and improve himself.

Meanwhile, with the Halloween looming ahead, there are some fans clamoring for a "Teen Wolf" Halloween special. Technically, the series already has an episode for the occasion, but it was not aired in October. The said episode titled "Illuminated" was aired during season 3 of the supernatural horror series, Carter Matt reports.

On the other hand, if "Teen Wolf" does air a special episode for Halloween, it will face a lot of competition from other networks doing the same. The writers would have to come up with something exponentially creative to top the show's competitors, the report explains.

"Teen Wolf" season 5 part 2 is set to return on air on Jan. 5, 2016 on MTV.
