'Teen Wolf' Season 5 Spoilers, Plot Rumors: Scott And Pack To Fight Two New Villains?

MTV's popular supernatural TV series "Teen Wolf" returns with the second half of its Season 5 in less than a month, bringing with it new enemies for Scott McCall (Tyler Posey) and his pack to face. As previously reported, two new villains, The Desert Wolf and the Beast of Gevaudan, will enter the picture in Season 6B.

The Desert Wolf has her sights set on Malia (Shelley Hennig) and she is furious. According to "Teen Wolf" showrunner Jeff Davis, the Desert Wolf will play a big role in Malia's story. In Season 6B, she will meet Theo (Cody Christian) and the two will discover that they share some common goals, at least some of which will put Malia's life in danger. As Davis told Entertainment Weekly, "And a lot of it has to do with her relationship with Malia and the reason why she says, 'If she's alive, then I'm just going to have to kill her again.'"

The other villain to watch out for is the Beast of Gevaudan. In the new "Teen Wolf" trailer, the creature is referred to as "history's most vicious, most famous werewolf." The new promo clip shows a glimpse of the frightening creature, with its sharp claws and scaly exterior. It is said that Theo will want the Beast's power for himself and to get it, he will have to seek out Deucalion (Gideon Emery) and get help. Will Theo fight the Beast and steal its powers? Is he about to become a real werewolf?

"Teen Wolf" creator and executive producer Davis also revealed one of the major themes of the upcoming episodes. "We call season 5B a season of resurrection because it's partly Scott has come back from the dead and he has to bring his pack now back from the dead as well," the "Teen Wolf" boss said. "It's all about what his mother said at the end, give them hope. So he's got to find hope again."

The second half of "Teen Wolf" Season 5 premieres on Jan. 5, 2016 on MTV.
