'Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2' Release Date News: Michael Bay Rocks TMNT Fandom With Twitter Posts

Previous reports indicated that "Transformers" franchise director Michael Bay is confirmed to return as producer for the sequel of 2014 3D science fiction action-comedy film "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles."

It was also stated that actress Megan Fox, who plays April O'Neil, will reprise her role as the fearless reporter in "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2." Moreover, recent plot news pointed out that TMNT comic book characters Bebop and Rocksteady will be brought to the big screen.

To further amp up the excitement, Bay took to his social media to share a series of photos of vehicles which are expected to appear in the upcoming title.

"Just some stuff I found," Bay captioned a picture of what appears to be a battle wagon and a Polaris Slingshot.

The famous Battle Wagon has already been featured towards the end of the first movie. The picture showed a bigger and tougher version of the said vehicle. The name "Tartaruga Brothers" can also be seen in the side of the truck. Fans, of course, know that "Tartaruga" means "turtle" in Spanish.

Details for the Slingshot, on the other hand, have yet to be revealed, although Comic Book believes that it may belong to a villain or to Casey Jones.

The publication went on to reveal that the movie is now entering in its early production stage and will see the return of the main cast members playing the four mutant brothers. Newcomers Stephen Amell and Tyler Perry are also to be expected to play as Casey Jones and Baxter Stockman, respectively.

"Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2" is slated to arrive on theaters this June 3, 2016.
