For the uninitiated, the 46-year-old actress is the one who played the first live-action counterpart of the fearless reporter in 1990.

It remains be seen if the "Halloweentown" star will appear in the film with a major role or "simply as a cameo for fans of the first film," Coming Soon speculated.

Other newcomers joining the movie's cast list are Tyler Perry as the scientist Baxter Stockman and Brian Tee as the new Shredder.

The "Arrow" actor, Stephen Amell, is also seen in previous reports doing action scenes with Fox as well as meeting the four titular characters as the vigilante Casey Jones.

In one of the set videos shared by Screen Rant, the hockey stick-wielding character was seen knocking down a Foot Clan ninja whom April was running away from.

The next scene then showed the Taratuga brothers approaching their friend only to alarm Jones, thinking that they are one of the bad guys. April appeared to explain the real situation and group dispersed in peace.

"Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2" is slated to arrive in theaters on June 3, 2016.
