Akuma of "Street Fighter" will not be the only guest character to appear in "Tekken 7." Bandai Namco Entertainment has announced that there will be two more.
The second and third batches of downloadable content (DLC) for "Tekken 7" coming later this year and summer 2018, respectively, will include one character each from other video game franchises, which the company did not discuss.
These "Tekken 7" DLCs will also come with a special stage and special costumes for the guest characters for the complete crossover experience.
Before all that, however, Bandai Namco will roll out the first batch of "Tekken 7" post-launch content this summer. This should add a brand-new game mode and over 50 new costumes.
The DLCs, while to be made available separately, will be included in the Season Pass, which also grants buyers 35 exclusive metallic costumes they will get to be doled out during the releases of the expansions.
Bandai Namco is also announcing a partnership with artists across the globe to be able to give "Tekken 7" players of all platforms free character panels in the coming year. This should give gamers the ability to customize their character's image display at the loading screen.
"Through a partnership with various worldwide artists, each player will have its own way to defy its friends and rivals," the studio wrote in a statement, promising more information "soon."
"Tekken 7" will be released on the Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC on June 2. Those who preorder the game will get access "Tekken Revolution" resident vampire, Eliza.
Bandai Namco is also offering a "Tekken 7" Collector's Edition to folks in Europe, Middle East, Africa and Australasian territories. It includes the Deluxe Edition, the Season Pass (in Europe only), a statue of Kazuya fly kicking Heihachi in mid-air, a special steelbook and the game's official soundtrack.
