'Terminator: Genisys' Release Date July 2015, Series Being Rebooted?

The next "Terminator" movie is set to be released on July 1, 2015 and will be called "Terminator: Genisys." The film is not a sequel of any kind but more of a partial reboot to the Terminator franchise.

Arnold Schwarzenegger returns in "Terminator: Genisys" as the T-800 once more, with Emilia Clarke as Sarah Connor, Jason Clark as John Connor, and Jai Courtney as Kyle Reese. The film will be the fifth film in the series and was initially simply called "Terminator." It was only recently that Genisys was added to the film's title.

The differently spelled Genisys subtitle is speculated to be the name of a new high-tech manufacturing corporation, much like the Cyberdyne Systems in the previous films. Since Paramount Pictures still hasn't released any synopsis of sorts, it would seem plausible that this Genisys company could be the one to cause Judgement Day in the film.

It is also possible that Genisys could be referring to an alternate version of Skynet in the new film.

The film's script, written by Laeta Kalogridis and Patrick Lussier, is also rumored to pull off some time-travel tricks where the events of the previous Terminator titles play out in a different fashion, spawning different versions of the past and future.

The cast and production crew has been very careful not to leak any information about the film, except for the cast and the release date. Schwarzenegger posted a Facebook announcement about the end of the filming process more than a week ago. Mostly, it was just his thanks to the crew for making the shoot happen as well as the release date of the movie on July 1, 2015.
