Terminator Genisys Update, News: Paramount Releases the First Trailer Teaser of the Film

Paramount Pictures and Skydance Productions has dropped the trailer for next year's "Terminator: Genisys," giving fans the chance to get a glimpse of the what the next-gen Skynet robot killers look like.

The recently-released trailer is part of the studio's week-long promotion campaign for the movie which started with a motion poster showing a Terminator skull and was later on followed by a 15-second teaser.

The recent footage opens with Jason Clarke's John Connor gathering forces for the final battle with Skynet's time-travelling robotic killers. His best friend, Kyle Reese (Jai Courtney) was then tasked to protect his "scared and weak" mother in the past timeline.

Upon arriving the designated period, Reese then finds Emilia Clarke's young Sarah Connor opposite to what his friend has described.

Fearless and appearing to be good at driving, Connor then prompted the still naked Kyle Reese:

"Come with me if you want to live."

From there, the video showed how the two managed to escape the robotic perpetrator. Also featured is the older Arnold Schwarzenneger confronting his more buff younger self.

"Everything's changed," Connor declared.

An unofficial synopsis also came along with the Genisys trailer and it reads:

"The year is 2029. John Connor, leader of the resistance continues the war against the machines. At the Los Angeles offensive, John's fears of the unknown future begin to emerge when TECOM spies reveal a new plot by SkyNet that will attack him from both fronts; past and future, and will ultimately change warfare forever."

Directed by Alan Taylor (Thor: The Dark World) "Terminator: Genisys" arrives in theaters July 1st of 2015.
