Terrell Owens, troubled NFL wide receiver who has yet to sign a contract with a team, now has a warrant out for his arrest.

The warrant was issued after Owens failed to show up for a court date concerning child support payments that he had not made and was trying to lower. The wideout failed to arrive at his court appearance due to a highly publicized workout on Oct. 24 that was supposed to convince a team to sign him after a recovery from knee surgery.

While TMZ reports that the veteran football star attempted to change his court appointment, representatives for the mother of one of his children refused to do so. Diana Bianchini, a spokeswoman for Owens, said the still unsigned free agent did not have proper legal representation when he attempted to change his court date.

Bianchini said Owens is "deeply upset that anyone would misconstrue his nonappearance in court.”

On Saturday night, the representative told the press that Owens’ new legal team is working to reconcile the issues that have occurred from him being classified a "no show.”

Owens, the father of four children by four different women, has made headlines in the past for his failure to make timely child support payments. In June, Newsone reported that one mother filed court papers seeking to hold Owens in contempt for failure to pay child support.

Owens “failed and refused to pay the full amount of child support for June 2011,” court documents stated, according to Newsone.

The unemployed football star is currently mandated to pay $11,202 a month for his 11-year-old son, $15,000 a month for his 7-year-old daughter, $13,400 per month for his five-year-old son and $5,000 per month for another daughter, TMZ reported. However, the payments were created based off of his 2007 income which he no longer makes.

"My currently monthly income is zero," Owens said in an official court statement.

Despite the headlines, a representative for Owens said the fallen football star has attempted to live by the court mandate and cares for his kids. However, it has put him into a financial dilemma.

"He has tried to keep paying all of these mothers what they were used to year after year, basically putting himself into a financial crisis,” the representative said. “He has always paid his child support payments and loves his kids."
