Tesla Model 3 News: New Footage Shows Car in Action

A new video of the Tesla Model 3 in action has surfaced online, offering car enthusiasts a glimpse of the much-touted car. The new clip shows the Model 3's Autopilot system in action and is one of the longest videos of the Tesla Model 3 ever released so far.

The clip features nearly all the functions of the upcoming car. The footage was shot on a highway as the Tesla Model 3 drove along a single lane with only slight movement at first. While the first few moments of the clip do not look very exciting, everything changes once the video starts showing the car's "infotainment" system.

Halfway through the video, the Tesla Model 3's impressive infotainment steals the spotlight. The car's map takes up most of the right part of the screen, while the audio is situated just beneath it. The driver then occupies the left, displaying the speed, speed limit, and status of the Autopilot system.

According to reports, the Enhanced Autopilot Package adds $5,000 to the MSRP of the Tesla Model 3. This package reportedly offers semi-autonomous capability, unlike the $3,000 package, which only enables full self-driving capability. While the price tag of the upcoming car model has yet to be confirmed, there are speculations that options like these autopilot packages could raise the Tesla Model 3's price to up to $35,000.

Meanwhile, as Tesla ramps up its marketing efforts for Model 3, an ongoing debate between its supporters and skeptics continues to heat up. Recently, Tesla was dogged by bad publicity because of a recent story in the Wall Street Journal, but Tesla's Elon Musk was quick to push back on the article and said that Wall Street Journal's report was "wrong" and "misleading."

Tesla Model 3 will be out on the market in 2018.
