The image immediately obtained thousands of likes, with fans expressing their excitement over the production of the much-awaited vehicle, which was announced recently to roll out very soon.

Despite the CEO himself dropping hints that production is really about to start soon, some skeptics continue to doubt the company as to whether it will stay true to its word regarding production and release schedules for the "Model X."

A few test models were spotted earlier this year doing rounds mostly in California, and just recently, some partly camouflaged SUVs were once again seen roaming the streets near the company's Silicon Valley headquarters.

EV Obsession has collected a number of spy videos and spy shots on the alleged Model X mules, and last week, two different-colored SUVs were posted by some paparazzi fans on social media — one in bright red, and one in stunning black.

While the question remains if the company will be able to meet its Sept. 31 release date, the website firmly states, "Tesla is preparing to launch Model X, a crossover vehicle that enters volume production in 2015. Featuring exhilarating acceleration, falcon wing doors, and room for three rows of seating, Model X defies categorization."
