'Amazing Spiderman 3' Release Date Postponed; Plot Spoilers Claim Emma Stone Will Be in Sequel as Gwen Stacy

"The Amazing Spiderman 3" will not hit the big screens until 2017, which is to be followed by "TASM 4" in 2018 to give way for the purported standalone movie "Sinister Six."

According to reports, "The Cabin in the Woods" helmer Drew Goddrad is set to direct and write the spin-off movie. It was also indicated that based from "The Amazing Spider Man 2" end credits, the probable villain lineup would include Green Goblin, Vulture, Rhino, Doctor Octopus, Kraven the Hunter, and Mysterio or Chameleon.

The reason for the Chameleon speculation is that it will be a vehicle for Emma Stone to once again re-appear along the series.

The basis for these speculations was taken from a recent interview by Screen Rant's Kofi Outlaw with the 25-year-old star herself.

Along the end part of the conversation, Kofi asked if will it really be the last time that Emma will work with the cast and crew of "TASM."

"I don't know… Is it? …I don't know, there's a whole plot line that could happen that may bring her back."
After that, the interviewer quickly ended the discussion.

The statement gave strong foundation for the assumptions of the Gwen Stacy fans that indeed, the character will be back either as a clone or as a "camouflage" of Chameleon.

"The Amazing Spiderman 3" release date is slated to hit the theaters summer 2016, however, no official details about the forthcoming installment has been announced yet.
