'The Bachelorette' 2015: First Teaser Pits Kaitlyn Bristowe Against Britt Nilsson

Things are about to get crazy on the new season of "The Bachelorette" as ABC has just released the first teaser for the upcoming season, titled "Fifty Shades of Cray". For the new season, two contestants from farmer Chris Soules' season will be pitted against each other: fan favorite Kaitlyn Bristowe versus last season's painted villain Britt Nilsson.

In the clip, host Chris Harrison tells the men, "There are two Bachelorettes and that's about to change. There's gonna be a vote."

Things start getting emotional after Harrison's announcement.

"I just don't feel like this is how I should have to do it!" Kaitlyn says with tears rolling down her face.

ABC first announced the twist back in March as Harrison said, "So the 25 men, on night one, they are going to have the ultimate say on who they think would make the best wife." Fans of the show and even former contestants highly criticized the move, and season 17's "Bachelor" Sean Lowe spoke out against the new format.

"It's downright degrading for the women—for the two chosen and the women watching at home," he wrote on his blog. "This move transfers the power back to the men on the show specifically designed for the women. As one tweet said, 'Once again, you'll have women competing for the attention of men.'"

As for Soules, though he's "ok with that part of my life being behind me," he says that he might just tune in when "The Bachelorette" premieres.

"Kaitlyn and Brit were obviously a part of my life and I'm interested to see how the journey goes," he told People Magazine.

"Whitney will definitely be watching," Soules said of his fiancée Whitney Bischoff. "So I'll probably be watching."

"The Bachelorette" two-night season premiere begins May 18 at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.
