'The Bachelorette' Spoilers: Who Went Home? Who's Going to Portugal?

"The Bachelorette" managed to reach a new level of drama and intensity last night, as the men and Desiree all confronted James about reported comments that he was there to improve his business and become the next Bachelor.

After a great group date with Drew, Desiree learned of James' conversation with Mikey, in which he allegedly said he was there to promote his business and be the next Bachelor. She was disheartened, disappointed, and angry at his supposed deception, but the worst was yet to come.

During the group date, the men took the opportunity to tell Desiree more about James' alleged conversation, clearly upsetting her even more. Desiree made the decision not to hand out a rose but deal with the situation at-hand. She sent all the men home but kept James behind so they could address the elephant in the room.

"I didn't say anything along those lines… if you think I did, maybe I should go," James said.

He then went on to blame Mikey for the conversation and blamed the rest of the men in the house for ganging up on him and "ruining" the connection he had with Desiree. It was clear that James felt he was a victim in the situation, and Desiree was not prepared to make a decision about whether he should stay or go… after a tear-filled conversation, Desiree and James parted ways without any resolution.

"I want the guys to know that I trust them… that I believe them. I don't believe James is someone you can trust. But it's still hard to let him go," Desiree told the cameras before having a conversation with James.

In the end, Desiree sent James home and decided to move on with the rest of the men. They packed up and headed to Portugal, where the competition is certain to get more intense, especially after a visit by "Bachelor" alumni Catherine Giudici, Lesley Murphy, and Jackie Parr. It also appears that Drew will break Desiree's heart, telling her that he doesn't see the relationship going anywhere.

The next episode of "The Bachelorette" airs July 8 on ABC.
