'The Bastard Executioner' Recap Spoilers: Milus Sends Wilkin On A Covert Mission

With the objective of gaining some input as to how she should run her shire, Lady Love, the Baroness of Ventrishire, travelled to Windsor Castle to meet Edward II in the latest episode of FX's new hit period drama series "The Bastard Executioner."

The visit, however, turns out to be a disaster as the widow of Erik Ventris had to travel for weeks only to be greeted and later on mocked by the annoying Earl of Cornwall, Piers Gaveston.

Despite the gravity of the matter, the Frenchman seems to not take Lady Lowry seriously when she requested to see the King. Adding grave insult to injury, the Welsh monarch was made to wait at the King's table for many hours, hungry and tired from the treacherous trip.

Then, just at the time that they were about to take their night's rest, they were summoned by the scornful royal right hand who told the ladies that the King would see them now.

The meeting was rather informal as it only happened on one of the King's hunting grounds. When the subject was brought up, the young monarch only told Lady Love, in a very dismissive way, that she should discuss it with Gaveston.

Bent on dividing the shire, Piers warned the kind lady that until a male heir is named, Ventrishire will be taken by neighbouring shires. She shocked the Frenchman when she told him she was carrying a baby.

Meanwhile, Chamberlain Milus continues his plot to gain better control of the shire. He invited the Baron from Pryceshire to discuss with him a plan that would unite the two shires and make it a center of commerce.

Brattle, around this time, is once again thrown deeper into the mess he was in when the cunning Chamberlain requested for him to kill Pryce's right hand. And he did by choking him with food.

Lady Love's battle against the evil schemes of men, Milus on her own ground and Piers from the capital, will continue as the show moves on this week.

Titled "Piss Profit/ Proffidwyr Troeth" the synopsis posted on The Futon Critic said that "the King's right hand visits Ventrishire on official Royal business." Milus, on the other hand, will engage Wilkin's service to go on a secret quest to retrieve a piece of artifact.

"The Bastard Executioner" airs Tuesdays at 10 p.m. on FX.
