'The Big Bang Theory' Season 10 Episode 2 Preview: What Will Happen to Howard's Invention with the Military?

"The Big Bang Theory" definitely premiered its tenth season with a bang. With the resolved character tensions that were left hanging from the season nine finale, what will happen next in the second episode next week?

Premiere Episode Wedding Recap

Finally, Penny and Leonard (Kaley Cuoco and Johnny Galecki) get to walk down the aisle in the premiere episode titled "The Conjugal Conjecture". This is already the couple's second wedding and they have been initially forced to organize this only to appease Leonard's psychologist mother with impossibly high standards, Beverly (Christine Baranski). However, an episode of "The Big Bang Theory" would not be complete with some intervention from Sheldon (Jim Parsons).

Back in the season nine finale, Sheldon invited his own bible-quoting and overly religious mother, Susan (Laurie Metcalf). Since then, romantic and sexual tension have been building up between Susan and Leonard's father, Alfred (Judd Hirsch). All the gang's fear of the two having coitus after the dinner was denied by both the morning after, to their sons' relief.

Meanwhile, Penny brings home her own family, mainly starring her brother Randall (Jack McBrayer) who just got out of prison. Running jokes were all the craze in the episode as everyone in Penny's family has been frantic about them not being good enough for Leonard's high-achieving one. All ends well though as the episode reaches the beautiful wedding ceremony officiated by their friend, Bernadette (Melissa Rauch).

Military Dilemma

Also continuing from last season's finale, Howard (Simon Helberg) and Raj (Kunal Nayyar) have been paranoid about the military following them. This is after Howard invented a quantum gyroscope, earning him an email from the Air Force.

The morning after the dinner, Colonel Richard Williams (played by "Breaking Bad" alumni Dean Norris) shows up at the doorstep of the Wolowitz Residence. Raj greets him, but eventually lies as the Colonel seemed to have vested interest in his friend. Howard then eventually calls the number in the calling card that was given to Raj and was asked to meet at a certain place.

With the second episode titled "The Military Miniaturization", there is no doubt that the next episode will be tackling more about this arc. Audience will see more of Norris, along with interactions between his character and the group. It is also interesting to see how the sketchy meeting will go, and most importantly, what will happen to Howard's invention.

Will the meeting go as Howard feared it to be? Will it lead to his invention being seized by the government and eventually be used for destructive purposes? Find out in the next episode of "The Big Bang Theory" airing next week, September 26.
