'The Big Bang Theory' Season 9 News, Spoilers: Sheldon Reverts Back To His Old Ways

No matter how much Sheldon (Jim Parson) tries to cover up the sadness he feels after his unexpected breakup with Amy (Mayim Bialik), everything will further be manifested when the 9th season of CBS' hit sitcom "The Big Bang Theory" continues this week.

According to the spoiler reports for the episode titled "The 2003 Approximation," there will be some big changes in the gang's usual living arrangements as Leonard (Johnny Galecki) and Penny (Kaley Cuoco) now decide to move in together as husband and wife. But the couple would first have to deal with the situation of breaking the news to their friend.

Despite the strong façade that he's trying to show, Sheldon is clearly devastated over his and Amy's split. Needless to say, it is during these moments that he would need a friend to be there for him.

Now that he is faced with no choice but to live by himself in their Pasadena apartment, the summary hinted that he might try to go back to how he was in 2003, "a simpler time before he met Leonard and Penny."

In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, executive producer Steve Molaro teased that the boys will certainly be worried of Sheldon's situation.

"They're all trying to figure it out. We jokingly alluded to the fact that in some way the three of them are kind of married and I think the three of them will need to figure out how this is going to work," the showrunner told THR.

But for the question of whether or not it's really the end between Sheldon and Amy, Molaro hinted that anything could still happen between them. In another THR article, he notes that Sheldon is "clearly fond" of Amy and that he thinks "something is going to happen" in their withering relationship.

As for the rest of the episode, it is said that Raj (Kunal Nayyar) and Howard (Simon Helberg) will be forming a band to play at the Comic Book Store, an initiative that would surely delight Stuart (Kevin Sussman).

"The Big Bang Theory" Season 9 airs every Monday on CBS.
