'The Blacklist' Season 2 Finale News, Spoilers: Season Ender to Answer the Red and Liz Relationship Mystery

The season ender of the hit crime thriller TV drama series "The Blacklist" promises to reveal some shocking revelations about the true nature of Red (James Spader) and Liz's (Megan Boone) relationship. Meanwhile, this week's episode will see Red pleading for Liz to help him locate a person who holds some very vital information.

A report from the IB Times said that the season finale of the NBC drama will tackle on the real events that happened during the night of fire. This detail will eventually lead to the revelation of the real Liz and Red relationship.

"We're going to get a big answer about what happened that night of the fire… and some truths about the nature of her relationship with Red," series creator Jon Bokenkamp told TV Guide.

The publication stated that Liz may finally be able to piece the puzzle together as to why Red "has embedded himself in her life."

The season finale would also put the duo in a "desperate situation" wherein it involves a blacklister who appears to have a connection to the Cabal.

Bokenkamp went on to tease that "one major twist" in the story will "lay the groundwork for what's to come in Season 3."

Meanwhile, the upcoming episode titled "Leonard Caul" will see Red asking for Liz's help about a mystery man named Nicholas Caul." The character appears to know a secret about the Fulcrum and have, in his hands, a file which could threaten Red's life once again. Also, Tom (Ryan Eggold) will once again prove his worth to the team in an "unexpected way."

"The Blacklist" Season 2 Ep. 19 airs tonight, April 23 while the still untitled season ender is slated to hit the small screens this May 14 on NBC.
