'The Blacklist' Season 4 Premiere Date, Cast Details and Spoilers: New Character Revelations; Is Kirk Really Liz's Father?

The much anticipated crime thriller TV show "The Blacklist" is set to premiere its fourth season soon. The much awaited season is set to answer lingering questions about a major relationship between its prominent characters.

Crisis with Identities

With the Season 4 premiere coming soon, "The Blacklist" is geared to reveal a whole lot about Raymond "Red" Reddington (James Spader) and Elizabeth "Liz: Keen (Megan Boone). Their connection with each other has long been a persistent question over the show's three seasons. Fans will be seeing more answers from the new season of "The Blacklist."

In the finale episode of third season of "The Blacklist," Liz was kidnapped by Alexander Kirk. Her abductor claims had claimed to be her own father. This led to fans questioning Kirk's claims, as his identity of being Liz's father is still doubtful. However, executive producer Jon Bokencamp stated that Kirk's assertions should not be taken lightly.

Family Matters

When Boone was asked about hints regarding the upcoming season of "The Blacklist", she confessed that she only knows as much as the fans. In a separate report, however, Boone states that Liz's connection with Red might soon be revealed in the season. The actress then added that she wanted to keep things that way, as not knowing the looming plot makes it a lot easier for Boone to stay in character.

The fourth season of "The Blacklist" will also tackle an arc about the real mother of Liz, upon the investigation of Alexander Kirk. The investigation process will uncover journals and other things that will tighten her connection to Reddington.

More Episode Revelations

The filming for the initial episode of "The Blacklist" Season 4 started back in July. It will be titled "Esteban" and will feature new revelations about the covert operative Tom Keen (Ryan Eggold). The episode will showcase Tom's reunion with Liz and their daughter, along with new details about the woman who claims to be his mother, Scottie.

The second episode of "The Blacklist" Season 4 is titled "Mato." It will then showcase the true intentions of Alexander Kirk upon entering Liz's life. Fans are assured that his reasons for doing all these thing would truly surprising due to a big twist. "The Blacklist" will make things more complex with Kirk's true motives on abducting Liz and claiming to be her father.

Premiere Details

The fourth season of "The Blacklist" is set to premiere on Thursday, September 22. It could be viewed on NBC at 10 p.m. ET.
