The Dark Knight Rises Mobile Game Trailer Launches for Android and iOS

Fans of the Arkam Asylum-Arkam City Batman video game franchise will be pleased to find out that Gameloft will be launching The Dark Knight Rises Mobile Game for Android and iOS this summer.

The title not only promotes the upcoming film, but features similar game play to the wildly popular Batman Arkam series currently available on the PS3 and Xbox 360.

Gameloft launched a trailer for The Dark Knight Rises Mobile game this week and in the video the fighting appears to be the same style that is featured in Arkam City and Arkam Asylum.

The graphics seem to be on par with some of the more popular games from the PS2, Xbox and GameCube era.

And while the Arkam City and Arkam Asylum games follow original storylines with original plots, The Dark Knight Rises Mobile Game takes a different route and borrowing its theme and story directly from the film.

Most games that were based off of the popular Batman films released through the years have received less than encouraging reviews.

The last game based on a Batman film was Batman Begins, a title based on the 2005 reboot movie that returned the Dark Knight to prominence in Hollywood.

Batman is not the only popular superhero who will have his own video game for the Android and iOS platforms this summer. Gameloft will also be releasing a game based on the upcoming film "The Amazing Spider-Man," that will bring the famous Marvel superhero to smartphones and tablets around the world.

The company announced "The Amazing Spider-Man" for iOS and Android last week.

This summer sure will not suffer from a lack of superheroes and money making blockbusters as Spider-Man and Batman are two of the most successful movie franchises of all time.
