Warner Bros. has given movie fans a sneak preview of “The Dark Knight Rises” trailer at showings of “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2” over the weekend.

The move has seen a large number of unofficial trailers of the movie being posted on internet sites across the world. However, according to IMDB, none of those trailers are official, as the official Dark Knight Rises trailer will be released July 18.

Warner Bros. has asked that all news outlets and websites remove any illegal copies of the teaser-trailer shown in cinemas this weekend, and wait for the official release to be made.

The teaser- trailer commences with the text "Every Hero Has A Journey," then Liam Neeson's voice can be heard saying, "If you make yourself more than just a man, if you devote yourself to an ideal, then you become something else entirely, a legend, Mr. Wayne, a legend."

The clip goes on to show Bane and Batman, but does not show Anne Hathaway as Catwoman.

Bane is the main enemy for the new Batman movie, although many casual comic book fans, have not heard of him before. Bane is less prominently featured in Batman stories than The Joker, The Penguin, Mr. Freeze, and Two-Face. However, to serious comic book fans, Bane is seen as a highly intriguing villain and one of the most successful rivals of Batman.

Unlike most villains, Bane is not motivated by base criminal desires like The Joker or The Penguin. Instead, he's a purist who is out to prove himself and search for meaning in life.

The Dark Knight Rises is set for release July 20, 2012.
