'The Division' Free April Update Brings First 'Incursion'

"Tom Clancy's The Division" is bringing its first update for the newly released game and the good news is that it is for free. Come April 12, players who have spent many hours in the game have something new to look forward to – and they are called "Incursions." According to a GameSpot report, incursions are "The Division's" take on raids, which were popularized by "Destiny."

The April update of the game will introduce the game's first Incursion which is called Falcon Lost. An incursion is described as an "end-game mission" which is "a high-end task that will challenge players and require a good deal of teamwork in order to complete." Players can start off with assembling their team through matchmaking. As soon as a team is ready to take on the incursion, there will be no checkpoints, meaning if your team does not survive the mission, starting from the very beginning is the only option.

According to the GameSpot report, players need to have achieved level 31 gear in order to participate in the incursion. Aside from this, a higher difficulty mode is also available for players who will be successful in getting the new gear sets this coming update will provide. This is so because the new sets will unlock specific talents, according to the report, and this can only be done when paired with matching gear sets. The update will bring four sets, namely Sentry's Call (precision-focused), Striker's Battle Gear (assault-oriented), Technician's Authority (for supporting a team with healing) and Path of the Nomad (earned in the Dark Zone.)

For players who complete an Incursion, weekly rewards are in store for them the first time they complete it in a week. Incursions can however be replayed several times so that the player can get as many rewards as possible.

The update also allows players to trade items with other players, by dropping any item on the ground. Players who were part of your team when you acquired the item are the only ones allowed to pick up the item. There will also be supply drops but these drops are protected by enemies whom teams need to bypass. A spectator camera and assignments, which can either be daily or weekly missions) are also included in the update.

Another free update called Conflict will be bringing another incursion. The release date for the second update however is not yet known.
